Joachim Abel, also known as the CEO of Conshy Cakes, is the famous face you see in our logo! Joa had a love for creating in the kitchen since a very young age. He learned how to cook and bake with a unique approach that allowed him to focus on flavors and fresh ingredients. He always knew he would settle down in Conshy but also wanted to spread his wings. Joa moved to New York in his early 20’s and quickly started baking specialty treats as a side gig! Everything he baked was a huge hit and Joa was able to sell his desserts wholesale to a local coffee shop! He felt he had something special and decided to take his craft seriously moving forward. As life went on and the pandemic left its mark, Joa met Louis, his now husband whom quickly became a big motivator in his next steps. Eventually, they got married and bought a house here in Pennsylvania!

In 2024, Conshy Cakes has gained a healthy momentum and a loyal clientele. Joa and his best friend Brianna, also known as the CEO of The Lazy Bakery, decided to become business partners. Brianna also grew up in Conshohocken and has known Joa for over 10 years! Brianna spent years creating new innovative treats along with cake decorating! She has shipped her treats all over the United States. Both Joa and Brianna share a passion for baking and believe it is truly their love language.

With Brianna’s eye for decorating and creating content combined with Joa’s baking expertise there’s no other way than up! Recently, Joa and Brianna have made a huge impact at The Conshohocken Farmer’s Market every Saturday since May 2024! The community has opened their arms to Conshy Cakes and we couldn’t be prouder! By joining forces, they are able to provide a professional, loving, inclusive and one of a kind experience to every customer and potential client.
